Context

Session Studio is a new music collaboration App for music creators. The App solves a number of creative collaboration issues but importantly records artist contribution to each track so that they can get royalty payments. The Session Studio app was founded by music heavyweights Björn Ulvaeus (yes, ABBA!), and world-class producers Max Martin and Niclas Molinder. Session were looking for creative and marketing solutions to launch and grow their App sign ups globally.


Services and Solutions

Starting with an initial consulting project we helped Session with communication planning, creative and media planning. The team had very clear performance marketing targets and CPA hurdles. Although the App is global in scope, we began roll out using Meta Ads and Google Ads in the UK. We made various changes to approach and subsequently rolled out advertising in California, then US-wide.


Results

Session has been able to launch successfully, meeting its CPA targets and scale. In fact, performance has improved as we increase ad spend and country roll-out. Google Ads has been at the heart of the success. A strong smart bidding strategy powered by Google's machine learning algorithm helped meet targets.
