Context


Waltons is the nation's longest-running garden building retailer. They've been designing and manufacturing affordable and great quality sheds, log cabins, summerhouses and playhouses since 1878. The business was considering a trade sale to an ecommerce group and wanted to understand if TV activity could grow sales in the lead up to the negotiations.


Services and solutions


Waltons wanted to bring the quality of their products to life through a simple television campaign. Running during the Spring season, the campaign was timed to coincide with the peak times for planning and buying garden projects. To maximise budget, the campaign ran on daytime - where costs of airtime is cheapest - and it ran on key profile channels such as More4 and Home&Gardens.


Result


The campaign led to a clear spike in product sales and leads. It proved a good starting point for the case to further invest in television advertising and formed part of the upside story in their trade sale.
